Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using Anchorscape

Last updated: January 2026

By creating an account or using Anchorscape, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

1. Code Ownership & Usage Rights

  • You own the code you upload or have explicit permission to analyze it.
  • You will not use this tool to reverse engineer proprietary software you do not have rights to.
  • You retain all intellectual property rights to your code. Anchorscape claims no ownership over your source code or the modifications generated by our AI.

2. Code Storage Policy

AnchorScape limits source retention by workflow. It does not claim literal zero retention: scans, fixes, deployment artifacts and rollback evidence have different operational lifetimes.

  • Session Scans: Source is made available to an isolated job and removed according to the configured workflow cleanup policy.
  • Fix Sessions: When using Shipwright (automated fixes), code may be temporarily stored for the duration of the fix session (max 24 hours) to enable the workflow.
  • Deployment Packages: When using Launch (deployment), your built artifacts are stored to enable deployment and rollback functionality.
  • S3 Backups: Successful deployment artifacts may be stored in S3. These backups are private to your account and only you have access to them.

Exact retention periods must be shown in the active product tier and workflow before a customer submits source.

3. AI Disclaimer

Admiral Anchorton and all AI features in Anchorscape are powered by artificial intelligence. While designed to be helpful, AI may make mistakes. Users are responsible for reviewing all changes before deploying to any environment.

  • AI-generated code analysis, fixes, and recommendations are advisory onlyand do not constitute professional security, legal, or engineering advice.
  • Automated fixes (Shipwright) are suggestions that must be reviewed by qualified engineers before deployment.
  • AI models may produce incorrect, incomplete, or contextually inappropriate suggestions.

4. No Guarantee of Accuracy

Anchorscape provides automated code analysis, fixes, and deployment assistance on an "as-is" basis. We do not guarantee that:

  • AI-generated fixes will be error-free or suitable for your specific use case
  • Security scans will detect all vulnerabilities in your code
  • Performance recommendations will improve your application's performance
  • Deployments will be successful or remain operational

5. User Responsibility for Production Environments

Production Environment Warning: Users who enable Admiral or any AI-assisted features in production environments do so at their own risk.

  • We strongly recommend testing all changes in development or staging environments before production deployment.
  • You are solely responsible for the decision to deploy AI-generated changes to production.
  • You must maintain adequate backup and rollback procedures for all environments.

6. Backups & Rollbacks

  • AnchorScape retains eligible immutable release images and evidence according to the environment rollback policy.
  • Failed activation paths attempt to restore the previous Kubernetes revision. Operators can also select a retained verified release for rollback.
  • Anchorscape is not liable for damages resulting from failure to rollback, delayed rollbacks, or rollback failures.
  • Off-cluster data backups are available only when a supported backup destination is configured and successfully restore-tested.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • In no event shall Anchorscape, its officers, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill.
  • Anchorscape shall not be liable for any damages arising from use of the platform, AI-generated modifications, deployment failures, or security incidents.
  • Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of Anchorscape shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Anchorscape and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the platform or AI-assisted features
  • Code deployed through the platform, including AI-assisted modifications
  • Your violation of these Terms of Service
  • Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
  • Any claim that your code infringes upon the intellectual property rights of a third party

9. Third-Party Services

  • We use third-party LLM providers (Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude) to process code analysis. Data sent to these APIs is subject to their enterprise data privacy agreements.
  • Deployments may utilize third-party infrastructure providers. We are not responsible for outages or issues caused by third-party services.

10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Anchorscape after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
